Webinar: Translate it Right: Best Practices for Official Documents for IRCC, WES & More

Date: April 11, 2026
Time:  11:00 am

Deadline: April 8, 2026, at 3 p.m. Eastern time
At least 10 registrations are required to run this class.

This 1-hour online workshop is beneficial for beginners in the field of translation and an excellent refresher for seasoned translators, in view of the use of new technologies.

Official documents such as birth certificates, degree certificates, transcripts and driver’s licenses are issued in different countries, and there are specific formats and procedures that can be used when translating these documents into English.

This workshop aims to share the best practices in translation of official documents to serve the public more effectively and ensure that the recipients of those translations – let it be Drivetest, IRCC, universities, WES and other authorities – receive the information in an easy-to-verify format in Canadian English.

We will talk about:

  • – Ideal format of master documents
  • – Analyze the document before starting
  • – Formatting requirements
  • – Importance of consistency within the document and across translation packages
  • – Smart use of AI tools for scanned documents: privacy first!
  • – Prepare your documents for ATIO e-stamp
  • – Safe delivery of documents

There will be a Q&A session at the end of the workshop. This workshop will be conducted in English only.
