Official documents such as birth certificates, degree certificates, transcripts and driver’s licences are issued in different ways in different countries, and there are certain formats and procedures that can be used when translating these documents into English or French. This workshop aims to clarify some of the questions that ATIO and the Society of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia have received over the years and suggest guidelines to members who would like to translate official documents.

This workshop will be presented by Bekircan Tahberer, Certified Translator (STIBC)
Bekircan has been a teacher of languages and a translator for many years. He developed language courses and teaching materials in English and Turkish. He is also a lecturer in history and ancient numismatics.
